Whoever said that for a business meeting or corporate retreat to be successful you had to stuff participants into a stuffy conference room located in some generic USA downtown city or an off-airport hotel? I remember all too well being in just those kinds of sessions with other dozing participants taking in the classic powerpoint presentations, and most often the less than inspiring lectures on budgets, sales projections, market analysis or whatever it is that people are meeting about. Do we really need a bland meeting room with four walls but no windows to be productive, and even better yet, inspired?
I watch and talk to the guests who are at Teton Springs Lodge & Spa for a meeting. The size and dynamics of the group vary. It’s usually a small business or non-profit from the region, an executive retreat or a sizable group of physicians from around the country gathered here with the hefty goal of trying to make the world a healthier place. There consistently seems to be a common thread among the participants as they pack up and leave Teton Springs; they feel more optimistic about their company or organization, and their place in it, and feel ready and excited to help achieve their team’s particular vision for the future. This place is simply perfectly suited for that kind of an outcome.
It’s relatively easy to get the creative juices flowing at Teton Springs. It starts with the lodging. The lodge rooms are lovely; quiet and clean with a hardy western flair Lodge Suites . However, often the groups will opt for the luxury mountain log homes that dot this community perimeter. These 3, 4 and 5 bedroom “cabins” offer spacious open areas for entertaining (or perhaps that small meeting), private decks and patios . Luxury Cabins .
Once outside, one simply has to open their eyes. It’s incredibly beautiful in every direction you look. The Headwaters golf course surrounds the property and it’s green and lush. Beyond the links are the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the Big Hole and Teton Mountains. Not a bad backdrop. Frankly, it’s impossible not to be inspired by the views and the open space.
Sure, there are the more traditional meeting rooms at Teton Springs but they all sport windows looking out to this glorious Teton world. The Caddis Lake Overlook Tent is the latest meeting/event venue to be added by Teton Springs Resort and can accommodate large groups, wedding receptions and the like. It overlooks the 9th & 10th holes of the Headwaters golf course. Word of caution – the views can be very distracting.
Then there’s the Sage Café. The Sage is a warm, intimate room with a lovely patio affording great views of the surrounding mountains. Suffice to say, we have the right space for your next meeting or event and the staff at Teton Springs are notorious for taking care of everything – soup to nuts is this resort’s specialty. I think it’s a given that meetings are probably not scheduled at Teton Springs because of the meeting facilities, as nice as they are. After all, everyone needs a break and when the day’s work is done, the group scatters with folks headed every which way to sample the incredible activities in this vast Yellowstone-Teton region. Everyone needs a break and there are plenty of distractions; reeling in that monster cutthroat on the South Fork, a round of golf (or friendly group tournament) on the Headwaters course, day trips to the national parks or leisure hike into the national forest that surrounds this property. The list of things to do goes on and on. Unlimited Outdoor Activities.
Often, meeting goers head straight to the Stillwater Spa & Salon for a message or some other well-deserved treatment after straining that brain all day! Stillwaters Spa & Salon
